Emails we send
Checkout Commander sends two kinds of email: transactional notifications about your shop, and marketing emails sent under the marketing choices a user has consented to.
Transactional emails
Section titled “Transactional emails”Transactional emails are sent to the shop’s Shop Notification Email and eligible users who have Application Notifications setting enabled. See Settings for managing your email preferences.
Generic emails

Section titled “Welcome”The welcome email confirms the first installation of Checkout Commander.
Touch base
Section titled “Touch base”The follow-up email checks in about one week after installation and points you to documentation and support.
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”The uninstall email confirms that Checkout Commander was uninstalled. It also explains that your operations remain saved if you reinstall later.
Plan management emails
Section titled “Plan management emails”Plan change
Section titled “Plan change”You may receive an email after a confirmed upgrade or downgrade between supported paid plans.
Plan expiry
Section titled “Plan expiry”Checkout Commander can send reminder emails as a plan approaches its expiry and a notice after it expires. See Plan and billing for the billing guidance.
Trial expiry
Section titled “Trial expiry”If your first paid plan’s free trial is set to expire, Checkout Commander sends one reminder 24 hours beforehand letting you know that billing is about to begin. See Plan and billing for the billing guidance.
App health emails

Section titled “App health”You may receive a notification when App Health degrades. The message points you to the affected health report. See App Health for what to do next.
Marketing emails
Section titled “Marketing emails”Marketing emails are classified as marketing messages, not transactional notifications. They are sent only to users who have opted in to the relevant topics in their Marketing Preferences. The current marketing flow sends a consent-confirmation email after a user opts in. Other marketing messages, if sent, are limited by the topics selected.
Managing preferences from an email
Section titled “Managing preferences from an email”Every email sent to a user includes a “Manage email preferences” link that lets you adjust your e-mail preferences without signing into your shop. Each link expires after 90 days.
