How does it work?
Section titled “How does it work?”In Checkout Commander, you build operations using custom conditions and operation logic. Saving your configuration publishes it to Shopify Checkout, where Checkout Functions apply the customizations when a customer checks out. See Operations to learn more.
Is it reliable?
Section titled “Is it reliable?”Yes. Shopify Checkout Functions run directly in checkout, without a third-party service that can time out while a customer is checking out.
Is it safe?
Section titled “Is it safe?”Yes. Shopify Checkout Functions ensure that checkout continues to operate correctly even if a customization fails.
Do I need a Shopify Plus shop?
Section titled “Do I need a Shopify Plus shop?”No. Checkout Commander uses Shopify Checkout Functions, which are available to all shops. Some features are limited to Shopify Plus, including Credit Card payment customization. See Welcome and Payment Operations for details.
What data do you collect?
Section titled “What data do you collect?”Checkout Commander does not receive or process checkout transaction data. Shopify processes checkout data when the Checkout Function runs. The app stores the merchant, account, configuration, subscription, and email-preference information needed to operate the service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
When does a saved operation change reach checkout?
Section titled “When does a saved operation change reach checkout?”Saving an operation stores your changes immediately, then Checkout Commander publishes those changes to your Shopify checkout. You will see a tooltip in the bottom-right corner of the application with the publishing status, including when publishing is complete. This only takes a second or two, then you may begin testing your changes in the checkout. If publishing is skipped or App Health shows Blocked, your checkout will continue to operate with the last published configuration. See Operation didn’t take effect and App Health.
Why did an operation not work?
Section titled “Why did an operation not work?”Check that the operation is enabled and that its condition values match checkout. Shipping Hide uses the complete Rate Title or Service Code; Service Code is a unique rate value provided by your rate provider. Payment Hide and Sort compare complete payment method names without regard to capitalization or surrounding spaces, while rename matching uses the complete current name. Can I customize Credit Card payment methods?
Section titled “Can I customize Credit Card payment methods?”Credit Card payment customization requires Shopify Plus. See Payment Operations.
What happens when I uninstall?
Section titled “What happens when I uninstall?”Uninstalling Checkout Commander cancels the Shopify subscription. Your operations and configuration remain saved, but they do not affect checkout while the app is uninstalled. See Plan and billing and Managing your plan.
